In a recent announcement, the Israel Defense Forces shared the heartbreaking news of the discovery of the lifeless body of 19-year-old Corporal Noa Marciano. The young Israeli soldier, who had been abducted by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on October 7, was found murdered in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF revealed that Marciano’s body was located next to Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest healthcare facility in Gaza.
In a statement on X, the IDF conveyed the somber details, stating, “19-year-old CPL Noa Marciano was abducted and murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7. Her body was found and extracted by IDF troops adjacent to the Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
The IDF sends its heartfelt condolences to the family and will continue to support them.” The announcement was accompanied by a poignant picture of Marciano.
Earlier the same day, the IDF recovered the body of another hostage, Yehudit Weiss, 65, from a structure near the Al-Shifa Hospital complex. According to the IDF, Weiss was taken hostage by Hamas on the same day Marciano was abducted, and forensic reports confirmed her identity.
Tragically, Yehudit’s spouse, Shmulik Weiss, had been killed by Hamas terrorists at their home in Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7. The IDF disclosed that the couple is survived by their five children.
During the operation, IDF forces seized multiple weapons and explosives, including AK-47 rifles and rocket-propelled grenades, at Gaza’s largest hospital. Additionally, the IDF reported the discovery of a tunnel shaft used by Hamas in an outdoor region at Al-Shifa.
Pictures shared on X revealed another tunnel found at Rantisi Hospital, along with weaponry and ammunition discovered at the Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza.

The toll has been devastating, with over 12,000 casualties in Gaza, including more than 4,700 children, and over 1,000 lives lost in Israel due to attacks by Hamas.
