According to Ma’ayan Adam, her sister had sought refuge beneath a truck in a desperate attempt to evade the attackers. Tragically, while being held by her boyfriend, Roey, Mapal lost her life in a chilling manner. Roey, although sustaining gunshot wounds to his back, is expected to recover from his injuries.
Ma’ayan Adam’s heartfelt Instagram post read, “On Saturday afternoon, in this seemingly idyllic setting, Mapal, our beloved, concealed herself beneath a truck, playing dead.” The post featured an image captured from beneath the vehicle, showing Mapal’s cell phone.
She continued, “She held out for hours and didn’t move until terrorists killed her execution style.”
“This is the last photo she took, this is her phone.”
