In the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released a video revealing the discovery of Hamas rocket launchers located in close proximity to civilian areas in Gaza. The IDF troops have identified rocket launchers concealed within a playground and an amusement park compound in northern Gaza.
According to the IDF, these sites are being used by Hamas operatives to launch rockets into Israeli territory. This revelation comes as the Israel-Hamas conflict enters its fifth week, with growing concerns about the potential escalation into a broader conflict in the Middle East.
The IDF’s statement regarding these findings emphasized, “This is further proof of the Hamas terror organization’s constant use of the civilian population as a human shield for terror purposes.”
The video shared by the IDF shows that Israeli soldiers found four underground launchers located just five meters (approximately 16 feet) from a children’s swimming pool and around 30 meters from residential homes in the northern Gaza Strip.
In a separate development, the Israeli military exposed a network of Hamas tunnels, command centers, and rocket launchers beneath and adjacent to hospitals in northern Gaza. The IDF spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, presented evidence during an official livestream on Facebook, revealing Hamas’s strategy of using hospitals as cover and preventing civilians from leaving combat zones.
“Hamas systematically exploits hospitals as part of its war machine,” stated Mr. Hagari, Israel’s chief military spokesperson.
The IDF has also shared proof that Hamas has commanding control centers both inside and under Shifa Hospital. However, Hamas has denied these allegations and has accused Israel of spreading falsehoods.
Israel has previously focused on Gaza’s main hospital, al-Shifa, accusing Hamas of using it as a shield for underground operational centers. Hagari’s recent allegations also extended to two other hospitals in northern Gaza, including the Qatari-funded Sheikh Hamad Hospital and a hospital constructed by groups from Indonesia.
The situation remains complex and fraught with tension as the conflict between Israel and Hamas continues.
