Earthquakes in Nepal
It is important to note that earthquakes are a common occurrence in the mountainous terrain of Nepal. The country has experienced devastating earthquakes in the past, with a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in 2015 claiming the lives of approximately 9,000 people and causing extensive damage to around 1 million structures.
In this time of crisis, India’s proactive response and willingness to assist demonstrate the strong and compassionate ties between the two neighboring nations.
