In recent times, Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter/X, has voiced his concerns about the unrest in Ireland, particularly criticizing the government’s response to the situation. Musk even hinted that former UFC champion Conor McGregor could be a potential candidate for political office, suggesting he might be a better alternative to the current Irish PM Leo Varadkar.
Musk took to Twitter to express his views, stating, “Ironically, the Irish PM hates the Irish people. This is their last term in office.” This comment aligns with McGregor’s public stance against the government, leading to an ongoing investigation into McGregor for alleged hate promotion.

Responding to a fan’s suggestion that McGregor should run for office, Musk added, “The current Irish government clearly cares more about praise from woke media than their own people.” Musk seemingly endorsed the idea of McGregor entering the political arena as an alternative leader.
Shifting focus to McGregor’s UFC career, the former two-division champion is anticipated to make a comeback in 2024 at UFC 300 after a three-year hiatus. McGregor recently entered UFC’s anti-drug program and is expected to face Michael Chandler, the former Bellator lightweight champion, in his return match.
