Tinder’s Innovative Matchmaker Feature Lets Friends Play Cupid

Published on

Tinder, the popular dating app, is spicing up the search for love with its latest feature, “Matchmaker,” which empowers users to enlist the help of friends and family in their quest for romance.

Incorporating Loved Ones in Your Search:

This intriguing feature provides users with the ability to invite their near and dear ones, regardless of whether they have a Tinder account or not, to participate in the matchmaking process right within the app. Essentially, it adds a delightful “friend test” to the world of online dating. Currently, this feature is available in 15 countries, with plans for a global launch in the near future.

Empowering the User:

The concept behind Matchmaker is both user-friendly and interactive. To kickstart a Matchmaker session, users can easily select the option from a profile card or navigate through the app’s settings. Once initiated, they can generate a unique link to share with up to 15 friends and family members. These designated matchmakers then have 24 hours to browse profiles and offer their suggestions before the session concludes.

A Vital Distinction:

It’s essential to clarify that while matchmakers can peruse profiles and provide recommendations, they do not have the capability to engage in conversations or send messages to potential matches on behalf of the user who invited them. The ultimate decision on whether to ‘like’ or ‘pass’ on a profile remains firmly in the hands of the Tinder user, ensuring their agency in the dating process.

Post-Session Review:

Once the Matchmaker session wraps up, Tinder users can review the dating prospects that their trusted companions have put forward. Profiles that receive a favorable nod from the matchmakers will be clearly labeled as “recommendations.” Conversely, profiles that don’t make the cut will remain unaltered, preserving the user’s choice.

Global Expansion on the Horizon:

This innovative feature is currently accessible in several countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, and Germany. Tinder has ambitious plans for its Matchmaker feature, with a global rollout slated for the near future. The objective is to elevate the dating experience for users, making it even more engaging and enjoyable.

Tinder’s Matchmaker feature adds an exciting twist to the world of online dating, bringing friends and family into the matchmaking journey. With its global rollout on the horizon, it promises to further enhance the dating experience for users, ensuring they have the final say in matters of the heart.
