Samsung has quietly introduced the new Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ in India. These latest additions to the Galaxy A series tablet lineup come with Android 13 running OneUI 5.1.1 and are available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 5G variants. While the Galaxy Tab A9 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, the Galaxy Tab A9+ boasts a Snapdragon 695 SoC. The vanilla model features an 8.7-inch display, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ sports a larger 11-inch display. Both tablets come with a 5,100mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ Price and Availability in India

Samsung’s official India website has not yet provided pricing and availability details for the Galaxy Tab A9 series. However, these tablets are currently listed on Amazon. According to the listings, the Galaxy Tab A9 starts at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage Wi-Fi only variant, while the Wi-Fi + 5G variant is priced at Rs. 15,999.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is priced at Rs. 20,999 for the Wi-Fi-only variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The pricing for the Wi-Fi + 5G variant remains undisclosed. Both models are available in Dark Blue, Grey, and Silver color options.

During Amazon’s ongoing Great Indian Festival 2023, customers can enjoy an instant discount of up to Rs. 5,000 when purchasing the Galaxy A9 series tablets with SBI credit cards.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is a dual SIM tablet (eSIM + physical SIM) that runs on Android 13 with OneUI 5.1.1. It features an 11-inch WQXGA LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate (1,200 x 1,920 pixels). Under the hood, it houses an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot.

For photography, the Galaxy Tab A9+ sports an 8-megapixel single rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It comes equipped with a quad-speaker setup that supports surround sound. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port.

The tablet is powered by a 5,100mAh battery and measures 305x204x37mm, weighing 510 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 shares the same SIM and software specifications as the Galaxy Tab A9+. However, it features a smaller 8.7-inch LCD WQXGA display with a 60Hz refresh rate (800×1,340 pixels). The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

In the camera department, the Galaxy Tab A9 includes an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel front camera with front flash. It also boasts dual speakers by AKG with Dolby Atmos support and runs on a 5,100mAh battery. The tablet measures 219x29x131.6mm and weighs 366 grams.

The new Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ offer a range of options for consumers looking to upgrade their tablets, with varying specifications and price points to cater to different needs and budgets.
