The much-anticipated OnePlus Open foldable smartphone is gearing up for its India launch, and OnePlus has officially teased its arrival. Leaked details about this innovative device have been circulating on the internet for months, leaving tech enthusiasts eager to learn more about its design, specifications, and pricing.

While previous reports hinted at an India launch by the end of October, OnePlus recently confirmed its imminent arrival in the Indian market at a tech event. The company’s official teaser, shared on X (formerly Twitter), showcases the OnePlus Open in a semi-folded state, sporting a sleek black color option. The phone’s design features the Alert Slider on the left edge, while the right side houses the volume rocker and power button. The accompanying caption reads, “A true OnePlus experience awaits. Opening Soon,” suggesting that OnePlus will unveil the official launch date shortly.

Earlier leaks have suggested that the OnePlus Open could be priced in India at under Rs. 1,20,000. Renderings of the device have hinted at a distinctive circular rear camera module placed centrally on the upper part of the back panel. Additionally, the phone showcases rounded corners and a unique lychee-like leather finish.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Open is expected to offer a 7.82-inch OLED folding inner display with a resolution of 2,440×2,268 pixels and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It will also feature a 6.31-inch OLED outer display with a resolution of 1,116 x 2,484 pixels, also boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is anticipated to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with a generous 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of inbuilt storage.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the phone’s triple rear camera setup, which is rumored to include a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 64-megapixel sensor equipped with a telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, users can expect a front-facing camera featuring a 32-megapixel or 20-megapixel sensor.

To keep the OnePlus Open running all day, it is likely to come equipped with a substantial 4,805mAh battery. The device is expected to support lightning-fast 100W wired charging, ensuring that users can quickly top up their battery whenever needed.

As OnePlus fans and tech enthusiasts eagerly await the official launch date, the OnePlus Open promises to deliver an exceptional foldable smartphone experience, combining innovative design, powerful performance, and impressive camera capabilities.
