Google Unveils Innovative AI-Powered Search: Create Custom Images with Ease

Published on

Google is taking a significant step forward by introducing its AI-powered Search with Generative AI capabilities to the public. This exciting development enables users to effortlessly create custom images and more using AI technology.

Google has harnessed the power of Generative AI to empower its Search feature. This means that users can now generate AI images based on their specific requests. Google recognized that many users often find themselves in situations where they have a clear image in mind, but they can’t locate it, even on Google’s extensive platform.

With Generative AI-powered Search, Google aims to assist users in providing the right prompts to generate the perfect image they need. In a recent blog post, Google stated, “So beginning today, we’re introducing the ability to create images with our generative AI-powered Search experience (SGE).” However, it’s worth noting that Google is rolling out this AI feature to Search users in an experimental manner, initially limiting access to select markets.

To make it even more convenient for users to create images using Generative AI, Google has incorporated a built-in feature within the Images tab on its platform. This feature is designed to appear when users are searching for inspiration, such as “minimalist Halloween table settings” or “spooky dog house ideas.”

While Google might be perceived as a latecomer to the AI scene compared to its competitors, such as Microsoft, which has made notable strides with OpenAI and ChatGPT integration, Google is taking a responsible approach to introducing AI to the public. Google is committed to building safeguards into the AI experience and preventing the creation of images that violate their prohibited use policy for generative AI, particularly those containing harmful or misleading content.

Currently, access to the Generative AI Search feature is limited to English users in the United States. Users interested in trying this new version of Search on mobile or desktop will need to sign in for the SGE experiment and be at least 18 years old. Google’s approach underscores its commitment to responsible AI usage, prioritizing safety and user experience.
