The much-anticipated Google Pixel 8 series is set to make its debut in India very soon. This series, featuring the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, is scheduled for launch on October 4. Leading up to the launch, both models from the Google Pixel 8 series have been listed on Flipkart, along with a reminder of the pre-order date. Excitingly, consumers will have the opportunity to pre-order these phones starting on October 5, just a day after their official launch.
Flipkart is gearing up for its highly-anticipated Big Billion Days sale, which is set to commence on October 8. As part of the preparations, the e-commerce platform is providing a sneak peek at upcoming smartphone deals. Recently, Flipkart’s website started featuring the long-awaited Google Pixel 8 series.
The website announces, “Pixel 8 Series. Pre-order starts on October 5,” while also highlighting that the “powerful new Pixel phone will feature Google AI and the most advanced Pixel camera yet.”
Furthermore, Flipkart’s landing page reveals that with the Google Pixel 8, users will have the ability to remove unwanted objects from a photo’s background using the Magic Eraser tool. Additionally, they can eliminate blur and visual noise from their photos through the Photo Unblur feature in the Google Photos app.
Earlier, press renders of these phones had been leaked through WinFuture. These renders showcased the two upcoming phones in various colors. The Google Pixel 8 is expected to be available in four distinct colors, while the Google Pixel 8 Pro will offer three different color variants.
The press renders depicted both phones with a design that will be familiar to Pixel users. While there are some changes, they are subtle. Both devices feature slim bezels and a punch-hole notch design.
In terms of specifications and pricing, details have been circulating in the headlines for quite some time. According to leaks, the Google Pixel 8 will feature a 6.17-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. On the other hand, the more premium Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. Like the Google Pixel 8, the Pixel 8 Pro may also offer a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Regarding the camera setup, both smartphones are expected to feature an impressive 50-megapixel primary rear camera. The Google Pixel 8 may have a dual-camera setup with a Sony IMX386 sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro is likely to boast a triple-camera setup, including a 64-megapixel and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. For the front camera, both phones are anticipated to feature an 11-megapixel sensor.
