Google Bard, Google’s conversational AI tool, has rolled out a new feature that enables real-time responses to your questions. While you have the option to turn off this feature and have Bard respond only once the answer is complete, by default, Bard now provides responses as it processes them.
Default Real-Time Responses:
By default, Google has activated real-time responses in Bard, allowing you to see Bard typing out the response as it formulates the answer. According to Google, this approach eliminates the need to wait for the full response to appear.
Google stated, “Bard is here to expedite your creative process. You can now begin reviewing responses while they are still being generated, enabling you to remain in the creative flow and iterate on your ideas more swiftly.”
Adjusting the Setting:
You can access the setting to toggle between real-time and non-real-time responses in the settings section located at the top right, under the gear icon.
Why It Matters:
The introduction of real-time responses in Bard results in quicker interactions when addressing your tasks and inquiries. Additionally, if you find that Bard’s responses are not aligning with your desired direction, you can halt the conversation and initiate a new session faster than before.
It’s worth noting that this real-time response feature aligns Google Bard with the functionality of Bing Chat and other chat-based AI tools, offering users a more dynamic and responsive conversational experience.
