  1. Immersive Backgrounds: Embrace a new level of virtual ambiance with Google Meet’s Backgrounds. Choose from high-resolution photographs, dynamic options featuring movement like falling snow, and immersive 360-degree views. Users can further personalize their virtual space by uploading their own backgrounds or leveraging the innovative Duet AI for instant background generation.
  2. Creative Filters: Unleash your creativity with Filters, allowing you to transform into various animals or adorn yourself with hats and accessories. The third tab, aptly named ‘Appearance,’ offers controls to adjust lighting, framing, and video quality, ensuring you look your best during virtual interactions.
  3. Simulated Studio Lighting: Google Meet introduces Studio lighting on the web, simulating studio-quality lighting for a professional touch to your virtual presence. Whether you prefer the ‘Auto’ option for automatic adjustments or the ‘Custom’ mode for precise control over lighting position, brightness, and color, achieving the perfect visual setting is now at your fingertips.
  4. Multi-Effect Integration: Enjoy the flexibility of combining Meet backgrounds and filters simultaneously. The new “layer” icon in the bottom-right corner simplifies the management of effects, allowing users to track and remove effects with ease.
  5. Enhanced Audio with Studio Sound: Addressing audio quality concerns, Google introduces Studio Sound, leveraging AI to recreate higher audio frequencies. This feature particularly benefits users dealing with poor audio quality from Bluetooth headsets and dial-in participants. Studio Sound is currently available on the web and for dial-in.
  6. Technical Requirements: To fully experience these cutting-edge features, ensure your device meets the minimum hardware requirements. Google recommends a processor equivalent to or more performant than Intel Core i9-9880H (8C/16T), Intel Core i5-1235U (2P8E/12T), AMD Ryzen 5 5500U (6C/12T), or Apple M1 (4P4E/8T).
  7. Exclusive Features for Google Workspace Enterprise: To access the Studio lighting and Studio Sound features, users will need the Duet AI for Google Workspace Enterprise add-on.
