With a focus on skilling initiatives tailored for diverse populations, Microsoft aims to become India’s foremost partner in democratizing AI technology.

Nadella’s keynote address in Bengaluru reiterated Microsoft’s dedication to making AI accessible to everyone, stating, “AI for everyone. We want to be India’s most trusted partner for that.” This commitment includes providing AI skilling opportunities for 2 million individuals in India by 2025, with a particular emphasis on reaching those in tier-2 and tier-3 cities as well as rural areas.

Moreover, Nadella stressed the importance of cooperation between India and the United States in establishing AI norms and regulations, highlighting the need for consensus to facilitate the widespread adoption of AI technology.

Microsoft’s strategy revolves around leveraging AI to unlock economic growth and foster inclusive socio-economic progress. Through initiatives like Microsoft Copilots, the company aims to harness AI’s potential in analyzing data, identifying patterns, and facilitating seamless interactions across various domains, from sports to everyday conversations.

Crucially, Microsoft is not solely focused on developing AI tools and platforms but is also actively involved in building AI infrastructure, including model training and inferencing. Nadella affirmed the company’s commitment to advancing AI technology, citing their aggressive roadmap for innovation and their pride in possessing cutting-edge large models like GPT varieties.
