Mumbai: KL Rahul and Jadeja lead India to a 5-wicket win in the first ODI against Australia.
The Australian team, which is touring India, plays Tests and ODIs. India won the Test series over Australia 2-1. The first ODI was held in Mumbai today. Indian captain Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl. Then Mitchell Mars and Travis Head gave the Australian team a good start. However, it was not an auspicious start.
Mohammad Siraj dismissed Travis Head (5) in the first over. Steven Smith, who entered the field later, added to the team’s score along with Mitchell Mars. Hardik Pandya broke the partnership 12 overs.
With Mitchell on 81 runs and Smith on 22 runs, the Australian team added 129 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. But later, with wickets falling in the absence of batsmen, Australia collapsed for 188 runs in 35.4 overs.
For India, Mohammad Shami and Siraj took 3 wickets each, Ravindra Jadeja 2 wickets each and Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav 1 wicket each.
Ishan Kishan and Subman Gill entered the field with the Indian team coming into the field with a target of 189 runs. Ishan Kishan took 3 runs and Kohli 1 more than him and they got away with 4 runs. As a result, the Indian team lost 3 wickets in 6 overs. While Suryakumar did not get any runs, Subman Gill entered the field with 20 runs. The two players did not give up hope and India scored 43 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 11 overs.

KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya ended the situation and dismissed the Australian bowlers. Hardik was bowled out for 25 at one stage and KL Rahul along with Jadeja scored the winning wicket in 39.5 overs. KL Rahul has 75 and Jadeja 45 runs.
With this, the Indian team defeated Australia by 5 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the ODI series. Mitchell got 3 goals and Marcus Stoinis 2 goals for the Aussies.
