In a startling incident on Tuesday, a former student of Vivekodayam school in Thrissur, identified as Jagan, created a wave of panic as he entered the premises brandishing a gun.

The intruder, reported to be unsteady, proceeded to the staff room and classrooms, terrorizing both students and staff. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the police promptly took the armed individual into custody.
District Collector V R Krishna Teja, showing exemplary leadership, rushed to the school immediately after the incident to assess the situation. Emphasizing that it was an isolated event, Teja assured parents that the authorities had the situation under control.
Describing the sequence of events, Teja stated, “A young person has come to the school. He was a bit unsteady and used his pistol, firing two or three rounds. That’s what the school authorities have told us. He was taken into custody. It’s an isolated incident, and an investigation is on. There is no need to worry. We are all here. He will be produced before the doctor.”
The prompt response from law enforcement and district authorities underscores the importance of preparedness in handling unexpected situations. As the investigation unfolds, the age of the accused remains unconfirmed. Visuals circulating on television channels depict the intruder seated in the staff room, brandishing the firearm taken from his bag.
