President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a two-day visit to Odisha starting November 26, marking her second visit to the state this month. The visit will encompass a range of activities, including attending a significant function in Paradip.
Commencing her visit, President Murmu will arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 6 PM on November 26, where she will spend the night at Raj Bhavan.
A noteworthy event on her itinerary is the ‘Boita Bandana’ ceremony organized by the Paradip Port authority on November 27. This annual ceremony, celebrating the maritime heritage of Odisha, involves the worshipping of boats, showcasing the state’s ancient connection with the sea.
President Murmu is slated to virtually inaugurate a multi-modal logistic park and lay the foundation stone for a new reservoir and water treatment plant for the port township. Additionally, she will initiate a next-generation vessel traffic management and information system, emphasizing advancements in infrastructure and technology.
During her visit to Paradip, the President is expected to engage with members of the fishing community, underlining the importance of interaction with diverse segments of society.
