Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate projects worth more than ₹8,000 crore in Telangana on Monday, in preparation for the state elections later this year. These projects encompass various sectors, including railways and thermal power plants.
One of the significant projects set to be launched is the first 800 MW Unit of Phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project by NTPC. It is also designed to be environmentally compliant, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of improved energy efficiency in the country.
Additionally, PM Modi recently launched developmental projects worth over ₹13,500 crore in Telangana, spanning road, rail, petroleum and natural gas, as well as higher education sectors in Mahbubnagar.
On Monday, the Prime Minister will dedicate several rail projects, including the new railway line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, and electrification projects between Dharmabad – Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar – Kurnool.
These initiatives are expected to enhance socio-economic development in the region, particularly in the districts of Medak and Siddipet, while also promoting eco-friendly rail transport.
Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate NMDC’s steel plant in Nagarnar, Bastar district, Chhattisgarh, and lay the foundation stones for various rail projects in the state as part of his busy schedule.
