On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ranchi to pay heartfelt tributes to the revered tribal leader and extend warm wishes to the nation on Tribal Pride Day. The Prime Minister’s visit, marked by a visit to the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park and Freedom Fighter Museum, showcased his deep respect for the legacy of Birsa Munda.

Expressing his reverence, PM Modi took to social media, stating, “Respectful tribute to Lord Birsa Munda ji on his birth anniversary. Many best wishes to my family members across the country on this special occasion of Tribal Pride Day.” The Union Cabinet’s declaration of November 15 as ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas’ underscores the significant contributions of Birsa Munda to India’s freedom movement.

PM Modi’s Ranchi itinerary includes a visit to Ulihatu Village, the birthplace of Birsa Munda, where he will pay floral tributes at the statue of the tribal leader. The Prime Minister will further participate in a program celebrating the third Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas in Khunti, scheduled for around 11:30 AM.

In his message commemorating Jharkhand’s state formation day, PM Modi acknowledged the state’s rich mineral resources and lauded the courage, bravery, and self-respect of its tribal society. He conveyed his best wishes for the state’s foundation day and expressed optimism for its bright future, recognizing the pivotal role played by the people of Jharkhand in the progress of the nation.

During the event, PM Modi is set to launch the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and the Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) Mission. Additionally, the Prime Minister will release the 15th installment of PM-KISAN and inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Jharkhand.

This visit aligns with PM Modi’s commitment to ensuring the saturation of flagship government schemes, emphasizing the timely delivery of benefits to all targeted beneficiaries. As a significant step towards this goal, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, marking a new chapter in the development narrative of Jharkhand.
