Massive Fire Engulfs Houseboats on Srinagar’s Dal Lake, Causing Extensive Damage

A massive fire broke out on a houseboat in the serene surroundings of Jammu and Kashmir’s Dal Lake, located on the outskirts of Srinagar district. The blaze swiftly consumed not only the initial houseboat but also several neighboring floating houses and at least three huts, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

The fire began on a fateful Friday night, starting in one of the houseboats and soon extending its fiery reach to engulf multiple others. This harrowing incident has resulted in substantial damage, primarily to the houseboats, which are known for offering high-end luxury accommodations, often frequented by affluent tourists and honeymooners.

Thankfully, their prompt actions have brought the fire under control. As of the latest available reports, no casualties have been reported.
