Emphasizing the consistent stance of the Indian leadership, Kamboj highlighted India’s firm opposition to terrorism, commitment to international humanitarian law, and the need for preventing further escalation.
India particularly welcomed recent initiatives, including the UN Security Council’s call for urgent humanitarian pauses and corridors in Gaza. The resolution, adopted with overwhelming support, emphasized the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, especially children, and ensuring unimpeded humanitarian access.
This breakthrough came after several unsuccessful attempts to address the humanitarian crisis during the month-long conflict.
Ambassador Kamboj reiterated India’s steadfast position on the Israel-Palestine issue, advocating for a just, peaceful, and lasting solution through direct negotiations.
India has consistently supported the establishment of a sovereign, independent, and viable Palestinian state, coexisting peacefully with Israel within recognized borders.
Kamboj also highlighted India’s ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian aid to Palestine, including the delivery of 70 tons of disaster relief materials, including medicines and medical supplies.
India’s active role as a member of the Advisory Commission of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East was underscored, emphasizing India’s dedication to supporting the well-being of the Palestinian people.
