Karaikudi: In a shocking incident, five men brutally murdered 29-year-old Arivazhagan, also known as Vinith, who was involved in a murder case. The victim, hailing from Madurai, had been instructed to report to the police station due to his alleged involvement in the crime. The chilling incident took place in Karaikudi district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday and was captured on CCTV cameras.
The CCTV footage shows Vinith walking on a busy road when an SUV carrying five men surrounds him, chasing him down. In a merciless act, the assailants unleash a brutal attack on Vinith using sticks and rods, while bystanders watch in horror. Despite a bystander’s attempt to intervene, the attackers continue their assault. After the assault, the assailants swiftly flee the scene in their vehicle, leaving Vinith lying on the road. He was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries during transportation.
Following the gruesome murder, the police have detained Vinith’s friends for questioning and are actively searching for the perpetrators. It is noteworthy that Vinith, who was out on conditional bail, had been staying at a lodge with two friends prior to the attack.
