In a significant development, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that the newly constructed Urban Extension Road 2 (UER 2) is set to revolutionize travel in the Delhi-NCR region. The UER 2 is poised to drastically reduce travel time from Kundli, situated on the Delhi-Haryana border, to Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi, from a cumbersome two hours to a mere 20 minutes.

Speaking during an interaction with the Indian community in Prague, Czech Republic, Minister Gadkari shared his enthusiasm, stating, “The (UER 2) will bring travel time to IGI T3 airport to 20 minutes (from Kundli border in Delhi) instead of two hours. We have made another tunnel road that passes under the airstrip to T3 of IGI airport.”
