The suspects, namely Suresh, a D group worker at the residential accommodation, a female nurse named Chandana, and her partner Vinay, were apprehended in connection with the illicit activities that transpired within the jurisdiction of the Kadur police station. The preliminary investigation uncovered that the accused had formed a criminal gang targeting numerous nursing students.
According to the police, Suresh, exploiting his position, enticed the hostel girls with the prospect of securing admission to a paramedical course, assuring them of job opportunities upon completion of the program. The victims were allegedly administered sedatives through drinks and food before being subjected to sexual exploitation. Suresh went a step further by convincing the parents that their daughters were on the path to securing employment post-exams.
Once the victims were convinced, Suresh facilitated their contact with Chandana, a nurse employed at the local health center. Chandana, in turn, accommodated the girls at the health center, where they were provided drinks and food laced with sedatives. Subsequently, when the victims became unconscious, Vinay, Chandana’s lover, reportedly engaged in sexual exploitation.
