Erode: Erode East Constituency by-election is hotly contested. Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai, Makkal Neeti Maiyam President Kamal Haasan and others were involved in vigorous campaigning.
BJP state president Annamalai campaigned in Erode East Constituency, AIADMK candidate supported Southern government in Idayankatu Valasu and Theppakulam.
Speaking during the campaign, Annamalai warned that the Erode East by-election formula, like the Tirumangalam formula, should not go down in Indian political history and called for the change of history by voting for good and honest people.
In Erode Karungalpalayam, Veerappan Chatram and other areas, Congress candidate E.V.K.S. Kamal Haasan, president of the People’s Justice Center, lobbied in support of Elangovan. Speaking then, he said that he had come to the campaign to stand on the side of charity.
