The altercation began over a disagreement on the ticket price between the engineering student and the bus conductor. The conflict escalated when Hashmi, a first-year engineering student, brandished a cleaver and assaulted Vishwakarma, causing severe injuries to his neck and other body parts. Subsequently, Hashmi fled the scene, seeking refuge within a college campus.

The aftermath of the incident was captured in a video recorded inside the college campus, where Hashmi not only admitted to the crime but also displayed the cleaver used in the attack. Another video surfaced, capturing the accused running on the road with the weapon in hand, adding a disturbing visual dimension to the incident.

Bus driver Mangla Yadav recounted the sudden attack, stating, “Suddenly, there was an attack inside the bus. I heard a sound and then stopped the bus.” The injured conductor was promptly taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The police, responding swiftly, apprehended Hashmi inside the college campus. However, during the attempt to recover the cleaver, the accused allegedly fired at the police, prompting them to retaliate by shooting him in the leg. Hashmi is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.
