Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration: A Grand Celebration with Dignitaries, Security Measures, and Cultural Splendor

The much-anticipated inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is set to unfold today, drawing a diverse array of dignitaries to witness the historic event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the occasion, overseeing the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals performed by a team of revered priests.

Crafted by the skilled hands of Arun Yogiraj, the idol of Lord Ram takes its place in the temple’s Sanctum Sanctorum.

Here are the latest highlights from the grand ceremony:

  1. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is scheduled to kick off at 12:20 pm and conclude by 1 pm. Following the rituals, Prime Minister Modi will address a gathering of over 7,000 individuals, including spiritual leaders and notable personalities. As part of the preparations, the idol underwent a ritualistic bathing using 114 pitchers of “aushadhiyukt” water and sacred water from various pilgrimage sites.
  2. Ayodhya is under stringent security measures, with the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) deploying commandos at key locations like Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. The Uttar Pradesh Police is employing advanced technology for comprehensive security arrangements.
  3. A network of 10,000 CCTV cameras is actively monitoring the venue, ensuring the safety of both the public and undercover police personnel. Increased police presence is observed in areas experiencing a surge in devotees, including Dharampath, Rampath, Hanumangarhi, and Asharfi Bhavan road.
  4. The ceremony will commence with the auspicious sound of ‘Mangal Dhvani’ on January 22, featuring over 50 enchanting musical instruments from various states played for almost two hours.
  5. ‘Mangal Dhvani’ instruments include Pakhawaj, flute, Dholak, Veena, Sundari, Algoza, Mardal, Santoor, Pung, Nagada, Kali, Tambura, Pakhawaj, Shehnai, Ravanahatha, Srikhol, Sarod, Ghatam, Sitar, Santar, Nagaswaram, Tavil, Mridang, and Hudka.
  6. Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth emphasized the enduring significance of Lord Ram’s blessings and teachings for peace and prosperity.

  7. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth expressed joy at Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya, wishing for his blessings to guide towards peace and prosperity. “Jai Hind! Jai Mauritius!” he exclaimed.
  8. Former AAP leader Kumar Vishwas highlighted the transformation of sadness into happiness and excitement with the construction of the Ram Mandir, calling it a historic victory after a 500-year-long struggle.
  9. Badminton Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal, IOA president PT Usha, and cricketers like Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad joined the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony. Invitations extended to other cricketing legends include MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Ravichandran Ashwin.
  10. Renowned Bollywood personalities, including Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Hariharan, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Randeep Hooda, have been invited to grace the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
