In a distressing incident in Ujjain city, Madhya Pradesh, a 12-year-old girl was subjected to a horrific rape, leading to the arrest of an auto driver and the detention of three others. The police revealed that CCTV footage captured the victim’s harrowing 8-kilometer journey on foot as she desperately sought help.
The arrested auto driver has been identified as 38-year-old Rakesh. The police investigation uncovered bloodstains on the auto, prompting a forensic examination of the vehicle.
According to Police Superintendent Sachin Sharma, a missing report for the minor girl had been filed a day prior to the discovery of the incident. The girl had reportedly encountered five individuals at different locations, all of whom were being questioned by the authorities.
The identity of the three individuals detained in connection with the case has not been disclosed.
The 12-year-old victim underwent surgery conducted by a team of specialist doctors, and her condition, while critical, was reported as stable.
The horrifying incident came to light when a video of the girl, bleeding and walking on the street, circulated on social media. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Mahakal police station, and an ongoing investigation is being conducted.
