Amidst the ongoing political turmoil within the Opposition’s INDIA bloc, Arvind Kejriwal, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister, made a startling revelation on Saturday. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of approaching seven AAP MLAs, offering them Rs 25 crore each to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on the saffron party’s ticket.

Addressing the situation on X, Kejriwal highlighted the challenges faced by the AAP government in Delhi over the past nine years, citing numerous attempts to destabilize it. Despite these efforts, he asserted that the BJP had not succeeded in its mission.

Kejriwal detailed the alleged BJP strategy, claiming, “Recently, they (BJP) contacted our 7 MLAs in Delhi and said – ‘We will arrest Kejriwal after a few days. After that, we will break the MLAs. Talks have been held with 21 MLAs. Talking to others also. After that, we will topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. you can also come. Will give Rs 25 crore and contest the elections on BJP ticket.'” He contended that all seven MLAs approached had rejected the offer.

The Delhi CM further accused the BJP government at the Centre of exploiting the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) case in the Delhi Excise policy scam to arrest him, emphasizing that the true intention is to undermine the AAP government.

“This means that I am not being arrested to investigate any liquor scam, but they are conspiring to topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi,” he asserted.

Kejriwal expressed confidence that the BJP’s alleged plans would fail, as the people of Delhi strongly support the AAP. Referring to the BJP’s actions as “nefarious intentions,” he stated, “Therefore, it is not in their power to defeat AAP in the elections. So they want to topple the government by arresting them on the pretext of a fake liquor scam.”

Adding to the narrative, AAP Minister Atishi labeled the BJP’s actions as ‘Operation Lotus 2.0’ in Delhi, claiming that the plan involved arresting Kejriwal and influencing or threatening AAP MLAs. She asserted, “We are not scared. If they do so, the people of Delhi will give a fitting reply. Our seven MLAs have been contacted. We have call recordings. We will release them at the appropriate time.”
