Speaking at a press conference in Chennai on April 14, Annamalai alleged that he had accepted a bribe of Rs 200 crore in favor of a company to get the Chennai Metro Rail contract, which took place during the previous DMK regime in Tamil Nadu before the 2011 assembly elections when he was the Deputy Chief Minister of M.K.Stalin.
But the DMK and Metro have denied the allegation. Unidentified person accuses Chief Minister’s family of corruption. After that, on the 20th, the audio of the Finance Minister talking to someone about Chief Minister M.K.Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin and son-in-law Sabarisan having added Rs.30,000 crore assets in one year was published on the internet.
