Thirteen schools in Bengaluru faced a security scare on Friday morning as they received alarming bomb threats via email. These threats claimed the presence of explosives on the school premises, prompting an immediate response from the authorities.
In response to the threats, law enforcement swiftly intervened, initiating thorough searches across the schools to detect any potential dangers. Bomb disposal units were deployed to the affected schools, located in various areas such as Whitefield, Koremangala, Basveshnagar, Yalahanka, and Sadashivanagar.
One of the schools, in response to the threat, issued a cautionary notice to parents, emphasizing the unexpected nature of the situation and prioritizing the safety of the students. Consequently, the school took immediate action, deciding to evacuate the premises as a precautionary measure.
Notably, similar bomb threats targeted seven schools in Bengaluru last year, which were later confirmed as hoaxes by the police.
