Google has introduced a new Mint color option for its flagship Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones, following last week’s teaser across its social media platforms.
The Mint hue, a subtle shade of green, aligns with the pastel aesthetic that Google has embraced in its Pixel phone lineup over the past few generations.
This fresh Mint color joins the existing palette, including Bay Blue, Obsidian, and Porcelain for the Pixel 8 Pro, and Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose for the Pixel 8 models.
Ideal for those seeking a lighter Pixel phone without opting for the Rose color, it’s important to note that Mint is exclusively available for the 128GB models of both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Potential buyers must consider this if they prioritize the latest model without compromising on storage.
However, it’s crucial to highlight that the Mint release is solely about a new color option; there are no upgrades or changes to the specifications and features of the devices, following a strategy reminiscent of Apple’s playbook.
Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro In Mint: Availability And Price While it’s unclear if this model will be available in India, a search on the Google India store indicates that Google is marketing the Mint color option for the Pixel 8.
On the other hand, information about the Pixel 8 Pro in Mint is not yet visible on the website. Given that Google sells its Pixel phones through Flipkart in India, the listing on the website is anticipated. If the Mint variant makes its way to India, the pricing is expected to align with other colors of the Pixel 8, which is Rs 75,999.
