Emerging into the limelight with Bidaai, Sara Khan’s journey has been marked by a myriad of roles and experiences. Beyond acting, she has ventured into music, garnering praise for her single, Blackheart, and eagerly working on her next musical endeavor.

Reflecting on her passion for singing, Sara shares, “I love singing. If I hadn’t been an actor, I would have been a singer. I’m not professionally trained, but I sing from my heart, and my fans love it.”

Despite her versatility, Sara acknowledges the prevalence of typecasting within the industry. Recounting her career evolution, she notes, “When I started, I portrayed protagonists and was offered predominantly positive roles, as is customary in television.

However, as I ventured into portraying grey characters, I found myself inundated with similar offers.” Expressing her reluctance to be pigeonholed, Sara asserts, “I don’t understand why makers on television want to repeat the same stereotypes.

The industry often confines actors to roles that mirror their previous successes, stifling creativity and growth.”

Now, at 34, Sara Khan is resolute in her pursuit of diverse and uplifting roles. Disheartened by the influx of negative character offers, she remarks, “I know I have more to offer as an actor. It’s crucial to explore different facets of my craft rather than being confined to a single archetype.”

Navigating the ever-evolving landscape of television, Sara acknowledges the challenges of finding the right opportunities amidst fierce competition and changing viewer preferences. She emphasizes the importance of striking a balance between waiting for the ideal role and maintaining visibility in an industry characterized by fleeting trends and transient shows.
