Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films is set to captivate audiences with an intriguing murder mystery, “Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video,” starring two of its leading ladies, Radhika Madan and Nimrat Kaur. Despite the quirky title, the newly unveiled trailer promises a suspense-filled cinematic experience.
The film’s narrative revolves around the mysterious case of a missing schoolteacher named Sajini Shinde (played by Radhika Madan). She is presumed dead after an apparent suicide attempt, jumping off a bridge into a river, triggered by the leakage of a controversial video, possibly containing explicit or sensitive content.
As the investigation unfolds, Nimrat Kaur’s character, an investigator, delves into the case, scrutinizing various suspects, including Sajini’s fiancé, a politician connected to the school where she taught, and others.
The ensemble cast features talented actors like Sumeet Vyas, Bhagyashree, Subodh Bhave, Soham Majumdar, Chinmay Mandekar, Shruti Vyas, Ashutosh Gaikwad, and Rashmi Agdekar. The film is helmed by director Mikhil Musale, who also shares co-writing credits with Parinda Joshi.
Intriguingly, both Radhika and Nimrat have shared their excitement on Instagram with a caption that reads, “Ek perfect beti, ek perfect mangetar, ek perfect teacher aur ek viral video! (handycam emoji).”
Nimrat Kaur previously played a role as a politician in Maddock Films’ “Dasvi,” a social comedy released on Netflix India last year. On the other hand, Radhika Madan has featured in three Maddock projects: Homi Adajania’s 2020 dramedy “Angrezi Medium,” Kunal Deshmukh’s 2021 romantic film “Shiddat,” which premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar, and Homi’s Hotstar crime drama “Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo” from earlier this year.
“Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video” is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 27, the same day as Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s directorial “12th Fail,” starring Vikrant Massey. Additionally, Umesh Shukla’s comedy “Aankh Micholi,” featuring Abhimanyu Dassani, will also hit the theaters on the same day, making it a noteworthy cinematic showdown. Notably, Abhimanyu’s mother, Bhagyashree, stars in “Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video,” adding an extra layer of intrigue to this compelling murder mystery.
