T-Series, the production house behind “Animal,” proudly shared the collection update on social media, revealing a staggering ₹527.6 crore in worldwide revenue within the first six days. The film’s success is evident, marked by hashtags like #AnimalExplosionContinues and #AnimalHuntBegins.

Breaking down the Day 7 collection, reports indicate a net earning of ₹25.50 crore in India alone, pushing the total domestic collection to ₹313.35 crore. The film maintained an overall occupancy rate of 30.43 percent in Hindi, 23.43 percent in Telugu, and 20.64 percent in Tamil.

Animal’s Box Office Journey:

  • Day 1: ₹63.8 crore (Hindi: ₹54.75 crore, Other Languages: ₹8.55 crore)
  • Day 2: ₹66.27 crore (Hindi: ₹58.37 crore)
  • Day 3: ₹73.46 crore
  • Day 4: ₹43.96 crore
  • Day 5: ₹37.47 crore
  • Day 6: ₹30.39 crore

Critical Reception and Controversies: Despite its box office success, “Animal” has stirred both praise and criticism. Ranbir Kapoor’s stellar performance has garnered acclaim, while the film faces backlash for its portrayal of misogyny, toxic masculinity, and violence. Bobby Deol’s portrayal of the sinister character Abrar has received positive audience feedback.

However, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ranjeet Ranjan has criticized the film, particularly the use of the song ‘Arjan Vailly,’ considering it offensive to Sikh history. She questions the Central Board of Film Certification’s approval of such films, labeling them as detrimental to society.
