Bigg Boss 17 recently crowned Munawar Faruqui as its winner, concluding a thrilling three-and-a-half-month journey on Salman Khan’s reality game show. Accompanying the coveted winning title, the stand-up comedian received a prize of Rs 50 lakhs and a brand-new car.
However, his victory was not without its fair share of controversies, with accusations of being a ‘womaniser’ and a ‘fixed winner’ circulating.
Munawar Faruqui addressed the speculation surrounding his win, stating, “From the first day to the last, my belief remained unwavering. I entered the Bigg Boss 17 house with the sole purpose of winning the show, and I never lost sight of my dream or goal, even amid distractions.
Just like fixing a puncture before reaching your destination, I was determined to address and resolve any issues that came my way. Winning the show feels surreal, and I attribute this victory and the love I’ve received to my fans and the almighty.”
Faruqui also shared insights into the impact of the controversies on his personal life and image, expressing concern and tension. He said, “I am worried about how my personal life has been affected by the controversies.
The tags people are using against me bother me, and the questions I face are ones I am not always aware of. While I feel the need to defend myself, I want to ensure that I address these issues thoughtfully.
It’s crucial for me to fix myself first, without causing harm to anyone in the process. My focus now is on managing relationships and aspects of my life outside the Bigg Boss house.”
Addressing the apprehension about his son witnessing the show and learning from his mistakes, Munawar Faruqui revealed, “Initially, I was concerned about what my son might think, given the things said about me.
However, I now want him to watch it and learn from my experiences. I want to guide him, explaining what I did wrong and urging him not to make similar choices. This realization came at a point of utter devastation, and if my journey serves as a lesson for others, then it’s a worthwhile outcome.”
In essence, Munawar Faruqui’s post-Bigg Boss 17 reflections highlight his determination to overcome controversies, focus on personal growth, and guide his son through the lessons learned during his eventful journey on the reality show.
