In the 17th day of its release, Vijay starrer “Leo” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has shown some promising signs at the box office. “Leo” made its debut with an impressive opening of Rs 64 crore on October 19 but started to face a slight downward trend in its second week. However, on its second Saturday, the film managed to pick up the pace.
After earning Rs 2.15 crore on Friday, “Leo” saw a noticeable improvement on Saturday, collecting Rs 4 crore. This boosted the film’s total collection to Rs 323 crore. It’s noteworthy that “Leo” achieved an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 29.22% on Saturday.

This movie marks the second collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, following their successful venture with “Master.” The star-studded cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, and Arjun Sarja, among others. “Leo” is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, following the 2019 film “Kaithi” starring Karthi and Kamal Haasan’s “Vikram,” released in 2022.
What’s impressive is that “Leo” has outperformed Prabhas’ “Adipurush” at the domestic box office and is now aiming to surpass the Indian box office collection of Rajinikanth’s “Jailer,” which made a total of Rs 348.55 crore in India and Rs 604 crore worldwide.
