Hina Khan’s film, “Country of Blind,” continues to soar to greater heights, marking yet another significant achievement. Following its successful poster launch at Cannes 2022 and a wide release across 14 theaters in the USA, this heartwarming cinematic experience has received an exclusive invitation from the prestigious Oscars Library.

“Country of Blind” is a moving exploration of the lives of the ‘sightless,’ and its poignant narrative has earned it a coveted spot in the permanent core collection of the Library of the Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, courtesy of the Oscars.

Sharing her elation, Hina Khan expressed, “Our team has poured their hearts and souls into this film, and there’s no greater honor than having it recognized on such a grand scale. From the love the USA audience has shown for ‘Country of Blind’ to the screenplay being embraced by the Oscars Library of the Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, it all feels surreal! I’m optimistic that our film will continue to scale even greater heights, as the story offers a complete and immersive experience for its viewers.”

Director Rahhat Shah Kazmi also chimed in, saying, “I am delighted to witness the vision I had for this film being appreciated on such a wide scale. ‘Country of Blind’ earning the affection of the American audience and now receiving an invitation from the Academy’s Library of Motion Pictures and Sciences is a monumental achievement for our entire team. I can only hope that our film attains all the recognition it rightfully deserves because, from the storyline to its visual representation, every aspect of ‘Country of Blind’ is simply beautiful.”

Adapted from H.G. Wells’ novel, “Country of Blind” offers a satirical and thought-provoking look at a community thriving in isolation. Starring Hina Khan and Shoib Nikash Shah, and skillfully directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, this film injects fresh creativity and artistry into Bollywood, providing a unique cinematic experience that’s truly deserving of such prestigious recognition.
