Renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya, known for his work in Bollywood, recently reminisced about his experience collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan in the song “Lutt Putt Gaya” from the highly anticipated movie Dunki.
Dunki marks Shah Rukh Khan’s triumphant return to the silver screen post the blockbuster hits Pathaan and Jawan, intensifying the buzz around this awaited film. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this collaboration between Khan and Hirani has heightened fans’ excitement since the release of the film’s first look and a preview of the album.
Ganesh Acharya, the choreographer of “Lutt Putt Gaya,” shared his delight at reuniting with the megastar after an extended hiatus. Speaking to the Times of India, Acharya expressed immense joy, labeling the experience as “great fun” and commending Shah Rukh Khan’s unwavering dedication, stating, “When you expect a hundred percent from him, he delivers a thousand percent.”

Despite challenging filming conditions, the duo successfully completed the song, with Acharya applauding Khan’s commitment and infectious energy. Acharya also expressed his happiness at the song’s positive reception, relishing the chance to work with SRK again after a considerable gap.
Discussing the choreography of “Lutt Putt Gaya,” Acharya highlighted its simplicity and thematic essence of “Koi Kaise Lutt Jaata Hain.” He praised Pritam’s musical composition and mentioned Rajkumar Hirani’s appreciation for the dance sequence.
Acharya revealed the song’s storyline, involving Shah Rukh Khan’s character and friends aiming to secure their UK visa. He also noted a departure from Khan’s trademark arm-spreading moves, emphasizing more intricate leg movements. Additionally, Acharya disclosed choreographing all the songs in Dunki, including one filmed in Kashmir.
The star-studded cast of Dunki, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, promises an engaging cinematic experience. Fans eagerly await the film’s release in December 2023.
