Ganapath, featuring Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Amitabh Bachchan, has finally crossed the double-digit mark at the box office. On its sixth day since release, the futuristic action film earned an estimated ₹1.10 crore, bringing its total collection to ₹10.90 crore.
Box Office Report: The film had a challenging start at the box office, with only ₹2.5 crore in earnings on its first day. Over the first weekend, it showed no significant growth, and by Monday, it had fallen further to ₹1.3 crore. However, the festive season provided a slight revival, with earnings of ₹1.5 crore on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the film recorded about 9.73 percent Hindi occupancy.
Ganapath, directed by Vikas Bahl, marks the onscreen reunion of Tiger and Kriti Sanon after their debut film, Heropanti. Set in a dystopian 2070 A.D., the film is reported to have been made on a budget of ₹200 crore.
In addition to Tiger and Kriti, the movie boasts an ensemble cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Elli AvrRam, Gauahar Khan, Rahman, Jameel Khan, Girish Kulkarni, Shruthy Menon, Ziad Bakri, Jess Liaudin, and Brahim Chab.
Ganapath’s storyline revolves around Guddu, played by Tiger Shroff, who transforms into the savior known as Ganapath. His mission is to protect people from the notorious syndicate of their time.
Director Vikas Bahl, when discussing the film, highlighted that Ganapath, set in the future, is based on a reality where any calamity leads to wealth disparity between the rich and the poor. He mentioned that while the film is futuristic, it deals with familiar themes and the journey of its characters within the context of a calamity.
