Disappointing news has surfaced for fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone residing in Gulf countries, eagerly anticipating the release of their collaborative film, ‘Fighter.’

Film business expert and producer Girish Johar reports a setback, revealing, “In a surprising turn of events, #Fighter has been officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. However, there’s a glimmer of hope for UAE audiences, as the film is set to hit theaters there with a PG15 classification!”

While the Gulf countries’ censor board has withheld approval for ‘Fighter,’ the aerial action thriller is scheduled to release in Indian theaters on January 25.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi.

The storyline revolves around the Balakot airstrike conducted by the Indian Armed Forces in response to a terror attack in J&K. The movie, marking Deepika’s third collaboration with Siddharth Anand, is also the third venture for Anand and Hrithik Roshan.

Notably, Hrithik Roshan plays the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, while Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. Anil Kapoor takes on the character of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh.

Siddharth Anand shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “Mamta (Siddharth’s wife) and I initiated our film company MARFLIX with #FIGHTER. A film that is ambitious in more ways than one. It’s more than just a film for us. And we have given it all to this one. 2024 starts with the same feeling again of nervousness and anxiety.
