Director Nilesh Krishnaa revealed in a recent interview that “Annapoorani” tells the story of a Brahmin girl aspiring to establish herself as a successful chef. Emphasizing respect for the sentiments of all communities, the film is a thoughtful exploration of culinary passion and family dynamics.
The film reunites Nayanthara and Jai, previously seen together in director Atlee’s 2013 production, “Raja Rani.” Nayanthara played a crucial role in suggesting Jai for the character of Farhaan in “Annapoorani,” according to Krishnaa. The stellar cast also includes Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Sathyaraj, and Redin Kingsley.
Supported by a skilled crew, with cinematographer Sathyan Sorryan (known for his work in “Master” and “Sulthan”), composer S. Thaman, and editor Preveen Anthony, “Annapoorani” promises a harmonious blend of talent both on and off the screen.
