Animal Overseas Advance Booking Skyrockets, Outshines Tiger 3 and Brahmastra in Pre-sales

The much-anticipated film “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, has created a buzz in overseas advance bookings, surpassing expectations and outshining other major releases like Tiger 3 and Brahmastra. The film’s exceptional pre-sales performance is not only impressive but also reflects a pace comparable to the blockbuster Jawan.

Commencing last week, the advance bookings for Animal gained significant traction, especially after the explosive impact of the trailer release on Thursday. As of now, the film has achieved over USD 600K on its first day, with the weekend tally soaring to an impressive USD 800K.

Animal’s pre-release sales are outpacing not only Tiger 3 and Brahmastra but also demonstrating a sales trajectory comparable to Jawan. The film’s success is particularly evident in North America, where it has contributed nearly half a million dollars to the weekend box office, including USD 300K from Thursday previews.

Director Sandeep Reddy’s influence over the Telugu diaspora audience is reflected in the film’s popularity in locations where Telugu films typically perform well.

Australia emerges as the second-leading market, with a weekend collection exceeding AUD 150K. In HOYTS, a major chain for Hindi films, Animal is rapidly gaining ground on Jawan, showcasing substantial daily increases. Even in the UAE, a market known for being slower for films outside of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan starrers, Animal’s advance sales are excellent.

The robust performance in advance sales sets the stage for a grand opening when Animal hits theaters on Friday. The film is targeting an opening day of around USD 4 million, including previews. If the momentum continues, the first weekend could surpass USD 10 million, potentially making it the third-largest international opening in industry history, surpassing Padmaavat and Dhoom 3.
