Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated film, “Start Up,” initially slated for release in September last year, faced postponements but is now gearing up for its much-awaited debut on July 24, 2024.

In the latest developments, Akshay Kumar, alongside co-star Tiger Shroff, is all set to enthrall audiences with their action-packed thriller, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” releasing this Eid. The teaser has already created a buzz among fans. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar has another project in the pipeline titled “Start Up,” which faced delays in its release schedule. However, fresh updates reveal that the film is finally hitting the screens on July 24, 2024, as exclusively shared by Pinkvilla.

According to the report, “Start Up” is gearing up for an extensive promotional campaign, with numerous assets dropping prior to its release. The film, directed by Sudha Kongara, promises a compelling narrative and is strategically set for a post-T-20 World Cup release window, aiming for a clear run at the box office. The movie is backed by powerful performances and a captivating storyline that is expected to resonate well with audiences.

“It’s a GV Prakash Musical, and the songs perfectly complement the film’s theme,” a source revealed. With Sudha Kongara at the helm, along with the commendable performances of Akshay Kumar and Suriya, the film is poised to strike a chord with viewers, blending Akshay Kumar’s stardom with his acting prowess seamlessly.

Interestingly, Suriya, the renowned actor, also makes a cameo appearance in the film, adding to the excitement among fans. “Start Up” is a remake of Suriya’s critically acclaimed film, “Soorarai Pottru,” which garnered widespread acclaim and accolades upon its release. The Tamil drama, directed by Sudha Kongara, is inspired by the life of G. R. Gopinath, the founder of the Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan.

Produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment, “Soorarai Pottru” features a stellar cast including Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal. With its compelling storyline and powerful performances, the film captivated audiences and won the National Award for Best Film in Tamil.
