Akshay Kumar, the celebrated Bollywood actor, and his wife Twinkle Khanna, have been happily married for 22 years. The power couple has managed to maintain a strong and loving relationship despite their differing political views. Akshay Kumar recently opened up about the key to their successful and harmonious marriage.

In an interview with ANI, Akshay Kumar disclosed that he and Twinkle Khanna have intentionally decided to avoid political discussions due to their differing views. He emphasized the importance of respecting each other’s perspectives and avoiding unnecessary conflicts over political matters.

“My wife’s views on politics are different from mine, so I don’t impose on each other. We try to avoid such discussions because there’s no point in having a conversation on that. You know the other person thinks that way, and I think in a different way,” Akshay Kumar explained.

He added a piece of advice for maintaining a happy and healthy relationship, saying, “When we live happily, sometimes they say that we should never keep anything under the carpet. But, I say sometimes it is important to do that because there is no solution to it. Keep it under the carpet and live happily.”

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna tied the knot on January 17, 2001, and their union has been blessed with two children, a son named Aarav and a daughter named Nitara, born in 2012.

While Twinkle Khanna bid adieu to acting in 2001 after a series of films, she found her calling as an author in 2015 with her debut book, “Mrs. Funnybones.” This was followed by another book, “The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad,” an anthology of stories published in 2017. She continued her literary journey with the release of “Pyjamas Are Forgiving” the following year.

Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, made his debut in the film industry with “Saugandh” in 1991 and enjoyed his first commercial success a year later with the action-packed “Khiladi.” His career has been highlighted by several hit films, including “Namastey London,” “Hera Pheri,” “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” and “Welcome.” His most recent release, “Mission Raniganj,” hit theaters on October 6, 2023.

The actor is all set to feature in the Hindi remake of the Tamil drama “Soorarai Pottru,” slated for release on February 16, 2024. Furthermore, he has an action-packed thriller film, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” alongside Tiger Shroff, and a comedy film, “Housefull 5,” in his upcoming projects, promising a treat for his fans in the near future.
