The wedding festivities, which followed an intimate ceremony in Mumbai, reached their peak in Udaipur as Ira and Nupur exchanged rings in a beautiful ceremony. A heartwarming video capturing the moment has gone viral, showing Aamir Khan wiping away tears with his ex-wife Reena Dutta by his side.

In the pre-wedding interview, Aamir expressed his emotional nature, stating, “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai (I get very emotional. I will cry a lot on that day, for sure).” The actor acknowledged his difficulty in controlling both his smiles and tears, prompting discussions within the family about taking care of him on the emotional day.

This emotional side of Aamir Khan is not new, as he has previously gained attention for shedding tears during film screenings, including an incident where he carried a towel to the screening of Salman Khan’s Sultan in 2016. In a past interview, Aamir admitted to being deeply affected when his films don’t perform well at the box office.

The wedding celebration also included a heartwarming family moment, where Aamir Khan, ex-wife Reena Dutta, daughter Ira, son Junaid, son-in-law Nupur Shikhare, and Aamir’s mother shared a group hug. The captured moment exuded warmth and unity.

Adding a touch of nostalgia, at the sangeet ceremony, Aamir Khan, along with ex-wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad, performed the evergreen song “Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka” from the film Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The celebration continued at Ira’s mehendi, where Aamir Khan had a tattoo recreating his daughter’s design on his hand, showcasing the deep bond between father and daughter.

The engagement of Nupur Shikhare and Ira Khan, which took place in September 2022, added another chapter to their love story. Nupur, a fitness trainer who has worked with celebrities like Aamir Khan and Sushmita Sen, proposed to Ira during the Ironman Italy event, reflecting their shared passion for fitness.

Aamir Khan’s divorce from filmmaker Kiran Rao in July 2021 didn’t diminish the spirit of family, as they continue to co-parent their son Azad. Ira, the younger of Aamir Khan’s two children with ex-wife Reena Dutta, has now embarked on a new journey with Nupur Shikhare, creating moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.
