2. Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships in Germany

Students studying at state or state-recognized universities in Germany can apply for the Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships. This scholarship is open to undergraduates, graduates, and doctoral students of all subjects and nationalities. Successful candidates should have outstanding academic records and a strong commitment to social and political engagement. Their interests should align with values such as ecology, sustainability, democracy, human rights, self-determination, and justice. Non-EU students pursuing master’s degrees receive €850 per month, along with potential tuition fee coverage. PhD students from non-EU countries receive €1,200 per month, in addition to a €100 mobility allowance per month.

3. Erasmus Scholarship Programs in Germany

The Erasmus Scholarship Programs offer financial support to international students participating in one-year exchange programs at German universities. To qualify for this scholarship, students must be enrolled at a higher education institution with both their home university and the German host university being signatories of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. Erasmus is an EU-wide grant funded by member states of the European Union, covering enrollment, travel, and basic living costs for students.

4. DeutschlandStipendium National Scholarship Programme

The Deutschlandstipendium National Scholarship Programme provides financial assistance to ambitious and academically outstanding students from around the world. It supports students at participating universities across Germany. This scholarship operates through a unique public-private collaboration, where businesses, foundations, or individuals sponsor students with €150 per month. The Federal Government supplements this amount with an additional €150. Universities award this scholarship, meaning that applicants must meet the specific requirements of individual institutions.
