In its seventh edition, the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) 2023 is poised to host an impressive gathering of over 250 international delegates, with the participation of esteemed representatives from influential institutions such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Scheduled to commence on November 21, this summit is set to welcome business leaders from 28 countries, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration and economic discourse.
The participating nations encompass a diverse array, including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Poland, France, Australia, Germany, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Fiji. Notable corporate giants like Reliance Industries, ITC, Ambuja Neotia, and the Hiranandani Group are expected to grace this prestigious event, adding to its global prominence.
BGBS 2023 will focus on key sectors vital for economic growth, including MSME, textiles, engineering, energy, transport and urban infrastructure, real estate, agriculture, tourism, and international trade and logistics. This strategic emphasis aims to foster meaningful discussions and collaborations that transcend geographical boundaries.
Renowned figures in the business world, including Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, Sanjeev Goenka, Sanjeev Puri, Purnendu Chattopadhyay, Harshvardhan Neotia, and Sajjan Jindal, are anticipated to contribute to the summit’s intellectual wealth. The event is not only a convergence of corporate giants but also a platform for government and business (B2G) and business-to-business (B2B) engagements.
Highlighting the global significance of the summit, an official mentioned, “Numerous B2B and B2G meetings will be organized on the sidelines of the summit, highlighting trade and investment opportunities between the global community and West Bengal.”
One noteworthy participation comes from the United Kingdom, set to bring the “largest-ever” delegation to the BGBS. The British Deputy High Commission disclosed that a 55-member delegation, representing a wide spectrum of businesses and institutions, will underscore the UK’s commitment to strengthening economic ties and exploring collaborative ventures.
