In a celebration of their star drivers’ World Rally Championship (WRC) triumphs, Toyota has unveiled two exclusive special editions of its GR Yaris hot hatch – the Kalle Rovanperä Edition and the Sébastien Ogier Edition. Limited to just 100 units each and exclusively available in the Japanese market, these models promise a unique blend of performance, style, and exclusivity.

The GR Yaris Kalle Rovanperä Edition pays homage to the Finnish driver’s remarkable back-to-back WRC driver’s titles in 2022-23. Adorned with a striking red, white, and black livery, complemented by a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) adjustable rear spoiler and distinct Rovanperä Edition badge, this edition exudes a sporty flair.

On the other hand, the Sébastien Ogier Edition commemorates the French driver’s consecutive titles in 2020-21. With a Matte Stealth Grey paint job, French flags on the front grille, 18-inch BBS wheels, and a CFRP lightweight rally spoiler, this edition showcases a sophisticated and sleek aesthetic.

Step inside, and the Kalle Rovanperä Edition welcomes you with blue and grey stitching on the seats, shifter, and handbrake. Meanwhile, the Sébastien Ogier Edition opts for grey stitching, both featuring commemorative badges on the dashboard and steering wheels stitched with the national flag colors of each driver, adding a personalized touch to the interiors.

Highlighting their individuality, both editions offer unique all-wheel-drive mode selectors tailored to the drivers’ preferences. The Kalle Rovanperä Edition introduces Donut and Kalle modes, while the Sébastien Ogier Edition features Morizo and Seb settings. These modes enhance performance with features like a rear-biased torque split and specialized drifting control.

To make these exclusive models even more enticing, Toyota will make the 100 units of each special edition available through a lottery system. For the fortunate 200 buyers, Toyota is offering an exclusive package that includes tickets to the Japan round of the WRC, interaction with drivers and team members, a WRC car viewing and pit tour, and the chance to have their name printed on WRC race cars at selected rounds of the 2024 season. As an additional perk, special commemorative gifts are also included in this extraordinary package.
