Sneak Peek: Tata Harrier Facelift Teased, Bookings Open October 6

Published on

The anticipation among Indian automotive enthusiasts for the facelifted version of the Tata Harrier SUV has been palpable for quite some time. While many expected the unveiling at Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors had a surprise in store with the launch of the Red Dark editions of the Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs, featuring styling enhancements and advanced ADAS technology.

Now, as the festive season approaches, Tata Motors has teased the upcoming facelifted Tata Harrier, aiming to capitalize on the heightened sales fervor. The automaker has also announced that bookings for the refreshed model will commence on October 6.

From the teaser video, it’s evident that the facelifted Tata Harrier exudes a futuristic and premium aura, setting it apart from its predecessor. The design language shares striking similarities with the recently launched Nexon facelift SUV.

Prominent design elements include a split headlamp arrangement with vertically stacked headlights, full-width LED DRLs, a reworked front bumper, an upright front fascia, and a brand-new front grille, among other updates.

Inside the cabin, the upcoming Harrier facelift is expected to feature a revamped layered dashboard, touch-sensitive HVAC controls reminiscent of the Tata Nexon facelift, an upgraded digital driver’s display, an expanded touchscreen infotainment system, and more.

Much like the illuminated two-spoke steering wheel found in the newly launched Tata Nexon facelift, the upcoming Tata Harrier facelift is anticipated to feature this sophisticated design element.

Under the hood, the facelifted Tata Harrier may house an all-new 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 168bhp and 280Nm of torque. This engine, previously showcased at Auto Expo 2023, signals Tata Motors’ commitment to embracing advanced powertrains.

The diesel engine, a staple in the product lineup, is expected to remain largely unchanged. The 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine is likely to maintain its 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque, with both engine options available in manual and automatic variants.

The introduction of the Tata Harrier facelift positions Tata Motors to compete more effectively in its segment, taking on primary rivals. As Tata Motors prepares to unleash this refreshed model, it is poised to make a significant impact on the market, driving sales to new heights during the festive season and beyond.
